Prayer Points for Day of Prayer & Fasting (27/04/17)
Today's prayer points are taken from Hebrews 13:1-4.
Verse 1: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.
Pray for the One Church family - for a real sense of love and unity. As we seek to genuinely do life together and be family, pray especially for our Connect Groups to continue to grow and flourish and see disciples of Jesus Christ raised up and activated.
Verse 2: Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
Pray that the people of One Church would be a people of radical hospitality - that we would be a community who generously open our hearts, homes and tables to others.
Verse 3: Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
Pray for our growing Prison Ministry. Pray also for the 30+ men who gave their lives to Christ when we went into the local prisons last year - that none would be lost, that they would be effectively discipled and that they would move towards maturity in Christ.
Verse 4: Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
Pray for all the married people in One Church - for God to renew and protect marriages; for Christian couples to find their purpose in God together; for those with unbelieving spouses to see the miracle of salvation take place in their homes.
Verse 5: Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have.
Pray that the people of One Church would honour God in their finances - that money would be their servant, not their master; that they would prioritise the kingdom of God in their finances and would know God's provision in all areas of their lives.
