For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

I will be found by you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.”

Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

Matthew 6:31-34 NKJV

Let’s come against fear and worry as we pray during July. The Book of Acts clearly shows us that God IS in charge, and records the Holy Spirit working in, and through, the lives of ordinary men and women. Resulting in the church growing rapidly, gaining strength and advancing. It still is!

Let’s pray:

  • For God to pour out His love and peace throughout all the nations, and in Norfolk/Norwich.

  • For Holy Spirit conviction, healing and deliverance to impact people’s lives throughout the world and this nation. Bringing a cleansing and change in people’s hearts.

  • For the continued strength, protection and provision for all NHS staff, carers and key workers. Giving thanks for them all.

  • For the Lord’s continued, protection, wisdom, strength, provision and guidance for the people of One Church as we press on in faith. Giving thanks for all that He has done thus far.

  • For all at One Church to be empowered by the Holy Spirit enabling them to thrive, to step out and reach their full potential. To be overflowing ‘presence carriers’ of the Lord, having boldness to share the gospel and reflect His love and glory wherever we go.

  • For God’s plans and vision for the development of our One Kids, Youth and Student ministries as we come into the new season. Also for Hannah and Sam as they serve God in these important ministries.

  • For the young people and students attending One Church, for success in their studies even in these uncertain days, and for career paths to open.

  • For healing and renewed strength for all connected with One Church who is battling sickness and pain.

  • For the Prime Minister to know God’s wisdom as he leads the government, and for those in authority, as they govern this nation in these crucial days, and for unity as they lead the country through and out of this pandemic.

  • For open and honest dialogue for those in authority as they consider the many issues flowing out from the death of George Floyd. For the church to be a great example of God’s love, mercy and justice in the debates and discussions.

  • For the plan/trade deal re the exit from Europe to not be derailed, and that all those involved will line up with the will of God, and for His favour on this nation.

  • For a continual thwarting of the devil’s plans against this nation. Especially in the area of terrorist attacks. Decree and declare that all his plans are put into confusion and fail.

  • For the Chief Constable, officers and staff of Norfolk Constabulary, for strength, safety and success in their work and investigations. For God’s wisdom and insight as they police this county.

  • For God’s Kingdom to come in power, and for His will to be done in Norfolk and Britain as it is in heaven.

God bless

Malcolm
