‘Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God’. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 NIV
‘Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom’. 2 Corinthians 3:17 NRSV
As we press on in prayer through the month of October let us remain steadfast and in faith for the God of the impossible to show His mighty hand, and for people to see that nothing is too difficult for Him.
Let’s pray:
• For God’s miracle power to be made manifest more and more in these challenging times throughout all the nations, and in Norfolk/Norwich.
• For the power of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction, healing and deliverance in people’s lives throughout the world and this nation. Bringing a cleansing and change in people’s hearts.
• For the Lord’s continued, protection, wisdom, strength, provision and guidance for the people of One Church and their families as we press on in faith. Giving thanks for all that He has done thus far.
• For all at One Church to be led and empowered by the Holy Spirit as we discern the ‘new beginnings’ and respond to His promptings.
• To continue to be overflowing ‘presence carriers’ of the Lord, having boldness to share the gospel and reflect His love and glory wherever we go.
• For God’s will and new paths to be made clear in the development of the One Kids, Youth and Student ministries.
• Pray for Hannah and Sam that the Lord will make clear what He wants in the new season ahead.
• For the protection and support for all staff and students starting/returning into the schools, colleges and university.
• For refreshing, recharging and healing for all connected with One Church who are battling all forms of tiredness, sickness and pain.
• For the Prime Minister and all in the government of this nation to receive God’s wisdom as they lead this country through all the COVID challenges.
• For people to act responsibly, obey the rules and not become complacent regarding COVID 19.
• For continued open and honest dialogue as people of all walks of life consider the many issues that continue to arise as a result of the death of George Floyd. For the church to be a great example of God’s love, mercy and justice in the debates and discussions.
• For a breakthrough in the Brexit plan/trade deal with Europe. For God to line up the minds of all involved with His will. For hearts to soften and pride to go, replaced by love and a desire to serve one another.
• For a continued disruption to the devil’s plans for this nation. Decree and declare that all his plans are put into confusion and fail. For light to expose the darkness.
• For the Chief Constable, officers and staff of Norfolk Constabulary, to have God-given insight in the policing of this county. For strength, safety and success in their work and investigations.
• For continued disruption of ‘the County Lines’ drug dealing and the protection of the young people who are being targeted.
• For a manifestation of the power and presence of God in Norfolk and Great Britain.
God bless
Malcolm
