Whose Hand?

Whose Hand?

This message is taken from Psalm 119 and in particular verse 173, it is entitled 'Whose Hand?'.

As individuals, there are times when we require and request the intervention of a third party to assist us and give us help; whether in simple terms or more complex ones.  Such a request is not uncommon - it is one human being reaching out to another human being.  How much greater though, if that request is made to God.

‘Whose Hand?’ is the third message in our May 2020 sermon series - ‘Come What May’. It explores the powerful prayers and declarations as found in Psalm 119:169-176.

It May Look Like I'm Surrounded

It May Look Like I'm Surrounded

What do you surround yourself with? Do you surround yourself with worship for God and reading his Word, or, do you succumb to the negative forces that encircle us everyday?

‘It May Look Like I’m Surrounded’ is the second message in our May 2020 sermon series - ‘Come What May’. It explores the powerful prayers and declarations as found in Psalm 119:169-176.

The message also explores the book of Psalms as a whole and how it is designed to impart spiritual strength to God’s worshippers in every generation. It may look like we are surrounded in our battles, but as we draw close in worship and in reading scripture, we realise that we are surrounded by a God who fights for us.

The Power of Worship

The Power of Worship

This sermon by our Kids & Youth Leader Ian Sadler shows how to access and utilise the weapon of worship. Learn more about how worship helps us to fight our battles and overcome the schemes of the enemy.

A Song in the Midnight

A Song in the Midnight

Do you know how to praise God in your midnight hour? Paul and Silas did; as they faced one of their darkest times, they chose not to complain but instead to pray and to praise - and they literally prayed and praised their way to deliverance! An atmosphere of praise - especially when created together with other believers - repels the enemy and attracts the presence of God. Be encouraged as you learn why and how to lift up your voice to God in the toughest times of life. Your song in the midnight shows what you really believe about God; it has the potential not only to set you free but others too!

Touching Jesus

Touching Jesus

Many people were healed by the touch of Jesus; usually He touched them but this sermon tells the story of a woman who actually touched Him. Oftentimes Christians can have a passive, one-dimensional approach to their relationship with God: "well, if it be God's will, then I guess He'll just do it for me".  But true faith actively goes after the revealed promises of God. This message unpacks the ingredients that must be in place if we are to encounter Jesus' power; it shows the miraculous possibilities that await us when we touch Him with the touch of faith.

Let God Arise

Let God Arise

In this message guest speaker and worship leader Dave Wellington shares many wonderful insights from Psalm 68. Dave digs into the text to discover why we should be so extravagant in our worship, exploring what it is about God and His nature that will inspire us so.

The Thanksgiving Telescope

The Thanksgiving Telescope

It’s so easy to magnify our problems but this can end up easily discouraging us. When we learn to magnify God through thanksgiving, we begin to see Him as He really is, we remember how great and good He is and we recall how powerful He is to do what he said He would do. Often God can be too small in our own eyes; this sermon will show you how to see Him more as He truly is in reality. You will learn that it is not so much happy people who are thankful but thankful people who are happy and you will be inspired to make thanksgiving a way of life.

Sharing Your Story

Sharing Your Story

Sharing your story of how you came to know Jesus and the difference He has made in your life flows out of a thankfulness for all He has done in our lives. When we live with an attitude of gratitude we are able to share the good news with others, witnessing to the love and power of Jesus Christ. This first sermon in our 'Thank-full' series will practically equip you to share your story with others and inspire you about the power of your testimony and the impact it can have.

Living Beyond Yourself

Living Beyond Yourself

In the book of Romans, Paul urges us "in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice". Jesus is the inspiration, the source and the enabler of a life of sacrifice lived for Him. We can lay aside our position because He did, we can serve others because He did and we can give freely because He did. In this final sermon in our 'Rhythms' series, be encouraged to adopt disciplines of sacrifice that will help you deepen your relationship with God and lead you into a life of true freedom.

The Priority of Worship

The Priority of Worship

When our lives are dedicated to worshipping God and we commit to worshipping in all that we do - in our daily devotion, as church gathered together and in every other sphere of our lives - we are transformed into the likeness of Jesus. This sermon will teach you about when to worship, how to worship and the fruit of our worship; listen and be encouraged afresh to give God the worship that He alone deserves.
