Whose Hand?

This message is taken from Psalm 119 and in particular verse 173, it is entitled 'Whose Hand?'.

As individuals, there are times when we require and request the intervention of a third party to assist us and give us help; whether in simple terms or more complex ones.  Such a request is not uncommon - it is one human being reaching out to another human being.  How much greater though, if that request is made to God.

It May Look Like I'm Surrounded

What do you surround yourself with? Do you surround yourself with worship for God and reading his Word, or, do you succumb to the negative forces that encircle us everyday?

‘It May Look Like I’m Surrounded’ is the second message in our May 2020 sermon series - ‘Come What May’. It explores the powerful prayers and declarations as found in Psalm 119:169-176.

The message also explores the book of Psalms as a whole and how it is designed to impart spiritual strength to God’s worshippers in every generation. It may look like we are surrounded in our battles, but as we draw close in worship and in reading scripture, we realise that we are surrounded by a God who fights for us.

A Song in the Midnight

Do you know how to praise God in your midnight hour? Paul and Silas did; as they faced one of their darkest times, they chose not to complain but instead to pray and to praise - and they literally prayed and praised their way to deliverance! An atmosphere of praise - especially when created together with other believers - repels the enemy and attracts the presence of God. Be encouraged as you learn why and how to lift up your voice to God in the toughest times of life. Your song in the midnight shows what you really believe about God; it has the potential not only to set you free but others too!

Touching Jesus

Many people were healed by the touch of Jesus; usually He touched them but this sermon tells the story of a woman who actually touched Him. Oftentimes Christians can have a passive, one-dimensional approach to their relationship with God: "well, if it be God's will, then I guess He'll just do it for me".  But true faith actively goes after the revealed promises of God.
