God's New World Order | 2 Peter 3

Are you living your life in line with ‘God’s New World Order’? This is the final message in our current series, ‘Upon This Rock’, and in this message we will unpack the 3rd chapter and final chapter of Peter’s 2nd letter. In this incredible section of scripture, Peter offers his final instructions and warnings to the church before his imminent execution in Rome. Therefore, let us pay close attention to these significant, God-inspired words as we choose to live holy lives in these evil days.

‘Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation..’ 2 Peter 3: verses 13-15.

Don't Be Deceived! | 2 Peter 2

Drawing insight from the 2nd chapter of Peter’s 2nd epistle, this message shouts the warning that, despite the presence of false teachers and their destructive doctrines, rather than being alarmed, believers should be alert and aware at all times - whilst also taking comfort in the God of Justice. Simultaneously, it is imperative that believers continue to grow, and press on to maturity.

Refresh Your Memory | 2 Peter 1

As we come to the opening chapter of 2nd Peter as part of our current sermon series - Upon This Rock - this message ‘Refresh Your Memory’ focuses around verse 13 of chapter 1: ‘I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body’.

In his final letter before imminent execution in the year circa. 68 AD, Peter writes this letter as an eye witness of Jesus himself to confirm the transforming truth which his hearers have already received. Peter’s 2nd and final letter serves to remind and signpost all generations of believers, both then and now, to the only true Gospel from God that can bring salvation.
